International Insolvency Experts Griffins instructed Jones Norris Adams to advise about the Non Domestic Rates for the roof top Bar at 1 New Change in the City, overlooking St Paul's Cathedral.
We negotiated a reduced Rateable Value which involved persuading the Valuation Office of the limitations of the Bar and its view.
Griffins were delighted to receive a significant refund to assist the Administration.
A former MOT Repair Workshop had been treated by the Valuation Office as liable for rates long after it had last been used.
The owner had tried to explain to the Council that the property was redundant but to no avail.
Eventually on appeal Jones Norris Adams arranged to reduce the Rateable Value to £0, and arranged for this to be backdated to 2010. The client was pleased to receive a significant refund.
We are pleased to announce that following her successful Graduation from Oxford Brookes University, Georgia Eckert joined us earlier this month.
